Biography

Marianne Latz is the Center Manager for the Center for Family and Community Engagement where she has worked since May 2006. At the Center she has coordinated Center activities, co-authored and coordinated grant funding proposal submissions, and overseen post-award activities. She has supervised MSW field students, training development, and administrative staff, coordinated and led online training efforts, written evaluation reports, and contributed to annual project and center reports. She has also taught family serving workers about child and family teams (CFTs) and family-centered practice, evaluated CFT meetings and CFT training, assisted schools in implementing CFTs, and written and revised training curricula. Marianne has a strong interest in practicing social work from a strengths and self-empowerment perspective.  She is especially interested in the inclusion of Family and Youth Partner Trainers in Center partnerships. Marianne received a Graduate degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
